stayed in punakaiki before, but this time treehouse blew me away. peaceful forest location, luxury surroundings, and dining on deck in total seclusion. waking up to bird song was lovely. 5 min drive to pancake rocks and a bush track to a spectacular ocean view. absolutely unique!
Messed up arrival, no office or email instructions. communication difficult, given wrong room and it smelled damp.

We had a truly delightful stay at a cozy and well-appointed Treehouse nestled amidst the trees, just a short drive from the famous Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki. the check-in process was seamless, thanks to the clear and thorough instructions provided in advance. the surroundings had a lovely wild feel, with abundant wildlife and lush vegetation. the unit/studio itself was modern, spacious, impeccably clean, and offered great comfort.
We only wish we could have stayed longer to fully enjoy this tranquil retreat. Cons: Nothing to mention 🌳.

The balcony amongst the bush was beautiful and perfect for some down time. The towels and bedlinen were fresh, which was a nice touch. The proximity to multiple walks in the bush was great, allowing us to explore and enjoy nature. Plus, the location was close to the famous Pancake Rocks and the Truman Track, making it convenient for sightseeing.
Payment could only be made through indirect methods like PayPal, rather than directly with a credit card. Additionally, the room configuration we requested was not properly set up, and there were limited crockery and wine glasses.

We had a delightful stay at the Treehouse in Punakaiki. The bird song was continuous and absolutely gorgeous, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The space was amazing, with indoor and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful bush views. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, and we even found an electric car charger in the carport. The bed was large and comfortable, and the balcony overlooking the trees was a lovely addition. The shower had strong pressure, and we were thrilled to have a great TV to watch the England v South Africa final. The heater quickly warmed up the room, which is a bonus during colder periods.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I recently stayed at a unique treehouse accommodation while backpacking. The location was perfect, close to attractions and a short walk to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable, just the right size for two people. The surrounding trees created a peaceful atmosphere and the birdlife was fantastic. However, I encountered a slight issue with the payment process and the bathroom was a bit small. Nevertheless, overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I had a superb experience at the Punakaiki Treehouse. The studio was airy and comfortable, giving me that unique forest feel. The small kitchen was perfect for cooking, and the balcony provided a wonderful treehouse experience. The surrounding nature was breathtaking, with birdsong and a chorus of bird calls waking me up every morning. I especially loved the semi-private bush track that led to the stunning ocean view, making it a perfect spot to enjoy my tea in the morning. Despite a small bathroom, it didn't bother me for my short stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful and nature-filled getaway.
Although my stay was wonderful, I did encounter noisy neighbors, which affected the overall value of the accommodation. However, the disturbance ceased later in the evening, allowing for a more peaceful night.
